Former University of Michigan basketball star Chris Webber has sounded off on whether or not former Fab-Five Juwan Howard should take over as Michiganโs new head coach.
Heโs all in!
During TNTโs broadcast of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks, Webber alluded to Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo being in attendance before shifting the discussion to Michigan.

โAll we need is to hire Juwan so we can take (Michigan State) out,โ Webber said.
โThat almost seems like a no-brainer,โ replied Reggie Miller. โWhoever is running things at Michigan, you can make some calls, but Juwan Howard needs to get that job there at Michigan.โ
โIt would be great for the whole university,โ Webber said. โIt would bring everybody back together.โ
Could Webber mean โeverybody back togetherโ as an upcoming reunion of the Fab Five? While Webber has been back to Ann Arbor, it hasnโt been in any official capacity with Michigan Basketball.
Meanwhile, former Wolverine Jalen Rose endorsed Howard for coach while speaking on his show โJalen and Jacobyโ.
โI need for this to happen, OK?โ Rose said. โThis ainโt just some nostalgic, โOh, he was a member of the Fab Five, so letโs give him the job.โ He was a terrific high school player, a McDonaldโs All-American. He was a terrific performer at Michigan, a member of the Fab Five.
โHe was an All-Star in the NBA, he was a champion. Heโs not only learned under some of the best to do it, Erik Spoelstra, Pat Riley. He also has the blessing of John Beilein, who he spent a lot of time with. Of Steve Fisher, who he spent a lot of time with. โฆ This is such a layup.โ
