Last month's highly publicized workout for former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick worked out – but not for Kaepernick.
The controversial former 49ers quarterback wasn't able to attract any interest from NFL teams that included the Detroit Lions, but one of the receivers he threw to during his workout has landed a job.
Jordan Veasy, who worked out with the Cleveland Browns, has signed with the Washington Redskins practice squad.

Veasy credits the Kaepernick workout for landing him his opportunity.
“That's one of the reasons I wanted to be a part of it,” Veasy told the Washington Post. “Just being a part of the history of it, and I knew it was going to help me.”
