Apparently, the Christmas spirit is starting to spread through the team facilities of Detroit Lions already. Numerous players, including Trey Flowers, Tavon Wilson, J.D. McKissic, and Austin Bryant went holiday shopping with students who are a part of the Detroit Lions Academy today.

This is certainly not the first time we've seen the Lions step up their community game during the holidays, and I'm also certain that it's not the last!
Information from the Detroit Lions Academy website, www.detroitk12.org/domain/1851:
Detroit Lions Academy is an Alternative Middle School with a unique program. Our program provides an opportunity for over-age students to get back on the path to success in order to reach high school graduation. Our program offers a second chance to be successful in a supportive academic and social environment. In order to meet each student's needs, we offer smaller classroom sizes that enable students to receive individualized or small group instruction. Our administrators, highly qualified teachers and support staff make it possible to provide a safe, clean and supportive educational environment. We have a strong school Community-Partnership with the Detroit Lions Organization that supports us with our students' development and learning as well. Detroit Lions Academy is where second chances lead to greater comebacks. If you are looking to take the next step on your academic journey; consider our academics, offerings and community partnerships.
