Detroit Lions release video of Aidan Hutchinson at rookie minicamp

Over the past three days, the Detroit Lions 2022 draft picks and other rookies took the field in Allen Park during the team’s rookie minicamp.

One of the players on hand was No. 2 overall pick Aidan Hutchinson, who is expected to improve the Lions’ pass rush right out of the gates.

Following the third and final rookie minicamp practice, the Lions released some footage of Hutchinson getting some work in.

Check it out.

Prior to Saturday’s practice, Hutchinson spoke to the media about how he is ready to get to work.

“Yeah, it’s great. This is what I do at the end of the day. All that talk, I hate the talk,” Hutchinson said. “It’s been a lot of months of talking, lot of rah-rah, but now we’re out here getting the work in, which is what I do.

“A lot of good people here. I think we definitely have got the right people in place to start winning some ballgames. The players, it’s a great vibe here right now. Can’t wait until all the vets get here and we all start getting after it as a team.”

Lions head coach Dan Campbell said the football field is Hutchinson’s domain.
“Look, there again, we’re a day in,” Lions coach Dan Campbell said. “I know this, he’s happy to just be playing ball. I know that. There are so many things that come into this, especially when you’re where he’s at. These guys are getting ready, they’re taking the visits. You’re going through all these things that have nothing to do with football and nothing to do with being on the grass.
“I know that he’s just happy to be here and he’s in a classroom learning football. He’s out there, he’s working with (defensive line coach Todd) Wash, and he’s with the guys in the locker room. I can tell that’s his domain, and he’s just happy to be doing that. I think this other stuff, he knows he’s got to do it, but that’s not what all this is about. It’s about ball.”
Nation, it sure is going to be fun to watch Hutchinson develop as a professional.
