Detroit Red Wings Dylan Larkin hurt in practice

This is not something Detroit Red Wings fans want to hear with the regular season right around the corner.

According to a report from Helene St. James, Red Wings center Dylan Larkin was hurt in practice on Tuesday after trying to avoid contact with Darren Helm.

From Detroit Free Press:

Dylan Larkin went down along the boards after trying to avoid contact with Darren Helm about halfway through Tuesday’s 90-minute practice.

Larkin left the ice on his own accord.

“He kind of curled up with the puck and just kind of at the same time, he almost ran into Helmer,” coach Jeff Blashill said. “And then kind of went into the wall a little bit.

“It didn't look vicious at all. Not vicious, that's not the right word. It didn't look anything much. It looked fairly innocent. Then he went off the ice. We'll wait for the doctor's reports and see where everything is at.”

Let’s hope this is nothing and Larkin is 100% for the Red Wings season opener this coming Saturday in Nashville.
