Detroit Tigers announce unexpected roster move prior to finale vs. Seattle Mariners

The Tigers have also placed Rony Garcia on the 10-day IL with a left knee sprain, which he suffered prior to today’s game. Beau Burrows has been recalled.

* Placed RHP Rony García on the 10-day injured list with a left knee sprain.
* Recalled RHP Beau Burrows from Triple A Toledo.

According to the Detroit Tigers, they have made the following roster moves prior to Thursday afternoon’s series finale vs. the Seattle Mariners.

* Placed OF Derek Hill on the 10-day injured list with a right shoulder sprain.

* Placed LHP Derek Holland on the 10-day injured list with left shoulder inflammation.

* Recalled OF Daz Cameron from Triple A Toledo.

* Recalled RHP Alex Lange from Triple A Toledo.
