On Sunday, the Detroit Lions lost 37-35 to the Minnesota Vikings to finish their 2020 season with a 5-11 record.
But the talk of the town is not the Lions’ final record or anything to do with the 2020 season at all, it is about their future.
As we know, the Lions will not only have to hire a new general manager and head coach but those hires will then have to decide if they want to roll with Matthew Stafford or if they want to part ways.
There have been reports that Stafford has not asked for a trade and to be honest, it would surprise me if he did do that, but we could have a little hint as to what he is thinking in terms of his future with the Lions.
Following the game, Lions interim head coach Darrell Bevell spoke to the media and he revealed that Stafford gave “a stirring speech” to the team on Saturday night.
Bevell also said Matthew Stafford gave a stirring speech to the team last night. Sounds like Stafford really took playing today, with all he's dealing with, to heart.

We do not have details yet as to what was said during the speech but it is intriguing that Stafford felt it was needed to talk to the team before what was a meaningless game in terms of making the playoffs or anything like that.
Nation, what do you think the Lions will do with Stafford? Do you think him giving a speech have anything to do with his intentions?
