Dug McDaniel rips Michigan fan base after loss to Maryland

On Thursday night, Dug McDaniel the Michigan Wolverines basketball team had a golden opportunity to pick up a huge road win in the Big Ten when they took on Maryland. Unfortunately, things did not go as planned for the Wolverines, and one of the many reasons why was the play of McDaniel, who finished the game with just four points. Following the game, McDaniel took to Twitter to call out the Wolverines fan base for saying he should be “benched.”

Dug McDaniel By the Numbers

As mentioned earlier, McDaniel did not exactly play his best basketball on Thursday night during the Wolverines' loss at Maryland.

Here is a look at McDaniel's stats from the loss:

  • 2-for-10 shooting (0-for-4 from beyond the arc)
  • 4 points
  • 7 assists
  • 2 rebounds
  • 3 turnovers

What's Next for McDaniel and Michigan Basketball Team?

Up next for McDaniel and the Wolverines is a home matchup against Minnesota.

The Golden Gophers are currently sitting dead last in the Big Ten, so this could be a great chance for Michigan to get back on track.
