Michigan basketball received a major piece of good news Thursday night.
According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, standout point guard Elliot Cadeau will remain with the Wolverines despite the uncertainty surrounding the program following Dusty May’s departure to the NBA.
“Elliot Cadeau is staying at Michigan, per his agent Drew Gross,” Rothstein posted on X. “Massive news for the Wolverines.”
The announcement comes at a critical time for Michigan, which is navigating a coaching transition after May accepted the head coaching job with the Dallas Mavericks. With players eligible to evaluate their futures during the special transfer portal window that follows a coaching change, Cadeau’s decision provides much-needed stability.
