Former Detroit Lions guard T.J. Lang isn't shy about making his thoughts known on his Twitter account. This afternoon while watching his former teammates drop a 35-27 decision at Ford Field to the Dallas Cowboys, Lang was right back online again.
Defense man. Cmon.

Gotta stop giving up points after your offense scores. Gotta keep the damn momentum.

Afterwards, gave a not-so-subtle shot at the team's poor defense this season with this tweet:
Lions average about 24 pts in their losses.. for perspective if these teams scored 24 pts each game they’d be:
Patriots: 8-1
Ravens: 8-2
Bears: 7-1-1
Bills: 10-0— Teej. (@TJLang70) November 17, 2019
The reference being that while the Lions are scoring enough to win games, their defense isn't supporting those efforts. The Patriots, Ravens, Bills, and Bears could all be averaging 24 points per game as Detroit is – and unlike the Lions, it would still be enough for them to earn their spot in the win column thanks to keeping their opponents off the scoresheet far more often.
When you have former players calling the current team out, you know there's an issue. But despite the team's struggles, head coach Matt Patricia has stated that defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni isn't going anywhere.
As of Sunday night, the Lions defense is ranked third-to-last in the NFL, giving up an average of 402.1 yards per game.
