Former Detroit Tigers RHP Buck Farmer finds a new home

The Detroit Tigers made the decision to end the Buck Farmer era, designating him for assignment for the second time this year and being granted an unconditional release.

And now, he’s got himself a new home. The Texas Rangers have signed the right hander to a minor league deal on Saturday afternoon:

Farmer was outrighted to Toledo after clearing waivers earlier this season in May, where he pitched well enough to earn a return to the Tigers. He recorded a 3.65 ERA in the 24 2/3 innings since.
