GOTTA SEE IT: Michigan Tech scores in double overtime to clinch NCAA Tourney bid

The Michigan Tech Huskies are heading to the big dance…on ice! Shane Hanna’s goal 6:35 into the 2nd overtime period broke a 2-2 stalemate and gave the Huskies their first WCHA Tournament title since 1981.

By winning their conference tournament, Michigan Tech has clinched a spot in the NCAA Hockey Tournament after missing last years tournament. It’s just the Huskies 2nd NCAA appearance since 1981. They’ll likely be seeded last in the tournament and head to Fargo, ND for their first round matchup. The full bracket will be revealed Sunday at Noon on ESPNU.

Go Huskies!
