REPORT: Detroit Lions’ Matthew Stafford, Darius Slay game status vs. Cardinals revealed

On Sunday afternoon, the Detroit Lions will take on the Arizona Cardinals in a battle between two of the worst teams in the NFL.

Rookie running back Kerryon Johnson has already been ruled OUT for the game, while quarterback Matthew Stafford and cornerback Darius Slay are both listed as questionable.

According to Ian Rapoport, both Stafford and Slay are expected to play against the Cardinals.

When it comes to lightning rods in Detroit sports, Matthew Stafford may be the biggest of all-time.

Whether you listen to local sports radio, read the papers, partake in social media, or just have conversations around the water cooler, you have likely heard plenty people give their opinion on the Detroit Lions signal caller. Some of those opinions praise Stafford and insist he is an elite quarterback who is stuck on a crappy franchise, while others are convinced that the former No. 1 overall pick is the main reason why the Lions have not been able to get over the hump for the past decade.
