The Detroit Lions didn’t get the result they were looking for against the Indianapolis Colts yesterday, dropping a 41-21 contest for their third straight home loss of 2020 and 7th overall dating back to last season.
And the Lions had more than their fair share of mistakes, including a critical defensive pass interference call that led directly to points on the board for Indianapolis.

Justin Coleman was flagged for DPI not long after the Lions had managed to make it a one score game in the 4th quarter, setting up a 1st and goal for the Colts. They were able to score on their second attempt, which proved to be the game-winning score.
Overall, the Lions cost themselves 76 yards worth of penalties, compared to just 19 for the Colts.
Coleman responded on Monday to the critical mistake, owning it:
The Lions will look to get back to the .500 mark this weekend when they pay a visit to the Twin Cities for a matchup against their division rival Minnesota Vikings, who are a mere 2-5 in 2020.
