It has been nearly two weeks since there has been an update surrounding the ongoing sexual assault investigation at Michigan State University involving three unidentified football players.
What we DO know is that football staffer Curtis Blackwell has been suspended indefinitely with pay. It has also been reported that the Ingham County Prosecutors’ Office is requesting more information and evidence from the campus police department, one of multiple parties conducting separate investigations regarding the incident. And amidst this tumultuous time at MSU, football head coach Mark Dantonio received his annual contract renewal from the school.
Dantonio and the others associated with the football program have kept their lips zipped throughout the entire investigation. The head coach, entering his 11th season with MSU this fall, released a statement on Wednesday on where he and the team stands throughout the process.

To sum it up, the team is focused on spring workouts and preparing for their annual spring game and letting the legal system work through what they have to. Dantonio will answer any and all questions “when the time is appropriate” and more information comes out.
