On Sunday, the Detroit Lions had a golden opportunity as the marched onto the field to take on the Philadelphia Eagles and unlike many times before, the Lions took advantage of it.

After all was said and done, the Lions defeated the Eagles 27-24 to move to 2-0-1 on the season.
Though it was not pretty, the Lions got enough in all three phases of the game to pull out an ABSOLUTELY HUGE win over a team that is expected to contend for a Super Bowl berth this season.
The Lions got their first touchdown of the game on a 100-yard kickoff return by Jamal Agnew and from that point, there was just a feeling that Detroit would get the job done.
Matthew Stafford was 18-32 for 201 yards and a touchdown while Marvin Jones Jr. had 6 grabs for 101 yards and a touchdown.
GO LIONS!!!!
