When it comes to durability and not missing football games, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is elite.
But that does not mean the Lions’ signal-caller is invincible as Stafford has played through multiple injuries throughout his NFL career, the latest being a banged-up hip.

According to reports, Stafford, who was listed as questionable in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs, was as close to missing a game since he missed 13 during the 2010 season, but he managed to suit up and play through the pain.
Luckily, for Stafford, the Lions had a bye week this past week, which allowed for his hip to heal a bit before he leads his team onto the field against the Green Bay Packers on Monday Night Football.
On Wednesday, he was asked about his hip and it sounds like the time off has made a difference.

Stafford said the hip injury he played through in a Week 4 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs “feels good” and “feels better” after last week’s bye, and he said “hope not” when asked if he expects it to be an issue going forward.
“Tough to say (how much it affected me against the Chiefs),” he said. “I just, I was out there, I’m going to be out there as much as I possibly can, you guys know that, so I was just out there playing. Felt good enough to go out and play and execute at a decent level.”
Usually, the Lions release their initial injury report for the week on Wednesdays but since they play on Monday Night Football, they are not required by the league to release a report until Thursday, which they have opted to do.
Unless something crazy happens, Stafford will be good to go this coming Monday when the Lions battle the Packers for first place in the NFC North.
