On Thursday night, the University of Michigan basketball team will continue their impressive run when the take on Oregon in the Sweet 16.

Earlier in the season, Michigan was struggling to find wins and it looked like they may be NIT bound, at best. But, that’s when things turned around for the Maize and Blue in a big way. The Wolverines gathered themselves and won the Big Ten Tournament Championship in impressive fashion, in turn, earning a 7-seed in the NCAA Tournament.

In their first game, Michigan was able to hold on for a 1-point win over Oklahoma State, advancing to face No. 2 seed Louisville in the Round of 32. It was a struggle, but when all was said and done, the Wolverines emerged with a 73-69 win over a very athletic Louisville squad.

Now it’s time for head coach Jim Beilein and his Wolverines to take on the No. 3 seeded Oregon Ducks in the Sweet 16. Can Michigan continue their storybook journey or will it all come to an end on Thursday night? Either way, we should be in for one hell of a game!

GO BLUE!
