It has been quite the season for San Diego Padres‘ second baseman, Jake Cronenworth.

Not only did the former Michigan standout (and St. Clair native) put up a regular season that has him in the mix to win the National League Rookie of the Year award, but on Friday he went 3-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored as the Padres beat the St. Louis Cardinals 4-0 to advance to the NLDS.
In the series, Cronenworth led the Padres with a .625 batting average and a .750 on-base percentage.

With the bomb, Cronenworth became the first Padres’ rookie to hit a home run in the playoffs.
