We’ll never say no to good news around here.
The Detroit Tigers could soon be getting a boost in the lineup for their lagging offense, as slugger Miguel Cabrera is read to return from the IL.
He’s been taking batting practice and could be ready to be inserted into the lineup as soon as tomorrow.
“I think this was Miggy’s last test,” said Tigers manager A.J. Hinch said. “He’s going to do some ground balls and get a little bit of extra work in and then we need to make a decision whether we play him tomorrow or we play him on Sunday and give him a day off tomorrow. I’ll meet with him and we’ll we’ll make a determination.”
Hinch gave props to veteran pitcher Erasmo Ramirez, who traveled from Toledo to pitch to Miggy.
“Erasmo needed to get some work in and so it worked out well for him to come up here and throw to a couple hitters and get essentially two innings worth of volume,” said Tigers manager A.J. Hinch. “Erasmo did us a great service, and also got a little bit of work in as well.”
Cabrera has been absent since April 10.

Why
Has no detroit sport media /newspapers are asking questions in regards to thie fourth year in the rebuild. Last night I looked at all of the transactions done by GM Alex A. the pr. spin was this is the start of the rebuilding process. Looking closer at the players acquired since 2017. who 95% are no longer in the major league tiger farm system. So it now is obvious Chris Illitch directive to A. Aliva was not a rebuild but dump salaries. Mike Illitch is spinning , and disgusted with his son.
