Northern Michigan lineman Anthony Herbert tragically passed away following a morning workout with his teammates, the school announced.

According to school officials, Herberg suffered a medical emergency after working out, eating breakfast, and returning to his dorm room. The 6-4, 313-pound Herbert started all 11 games at left guard for the Division II school this past football season.
Herbert’s death comes immediately after it was reported multiple members of the Oregon football team have been hospitalized after undergoing strenuous strength and conditioning workouts at the school last week.
