University of Michigan OL Jalen Mayfield made the decision last month to opt out of the 2020 Big Ten college football season, which at the time was still postponed, and enter the 2021 NFL Draft.
However, he’s had a change of heart.
Mayfield will be returning to the Wolverines for the 2020 season, which is officially back on as the Big Ten reversed course earlier in the week and voted to begin in October.
According to The Wolverine:
“A source has informed The Wolverine that Michigan redshirt sophomore offensive lineman Jalen Mayfield will return to play for the Wolverines this upcoming season, despite previously declaring for the NFL Draft and signing with an agent.”
This is major news for the Wolverines!
