Two members of the Detroit Lions have earned first-time All-Pro honors.
Center Frank Ragnow, who established himself as one of the NFL’s top players at his position, and punter Jack Fox, who ranked second in the NFL in net punting, earned Detroit’s first All-Pros since cornerback Darius Slay and punt returner Jamal Agnew here honored in 2017.

Ragnow also earned his first Pro Bowl nomination this season, despite missing a handful of games after suffering a fractured throat.
“No one had any idea (he was even hurt),” backup quarterback Chase Daniel said. “We just knew, like, for most of the game, the dude couldn’t talk. When I came up (to him), he’s like, ‘I — I can’t talk. You gotta make the calls.’ I’m like, ‘All right, bud, all good.’
“It was funny at the time. It’s not funny now, because it’s a serious injury. But, I mean, the dude played the rest of the game and I don’t know if he gave up a QB hit. It’s impressive. It really is.”
Meanwhile, Fox set team records for the highest gross (49.1) and net (44.8) punting averages in a season, which both marked the highest averages in a player’s 1st season in NFL history.
“Think we had a good year on the punt team,” Fox said. “But I think I left a few yards out there. I think I left some meat on the bone. There’s a bunch of different aspects of punting that I have plenty of room to get better at. Just kind of my focus this offseason.”
