The Detroit Red Wings announced yesterday that they were pausing team activities through the NHL’s holiday break on December 26 thanks to an ongoing rise in positive COVID-19 cases.
However, fans can feel optimistic following their latest round of roster moves. They’ve returned Riley Barber, Taro Hirose, Calvin Pickard and Kyle Criscuolo back to the AHL’s Grand Rapids Griffins; all of them were called up as replacements for the players on the main roster who had tested positive:
