The Detroit Red Wings have made a roster move today, recalling forward Ben Street from the Grand Rapids Griffins under emergency conditions.

Red Wings GM Ken Holland reported an undisclosed forward was injured during last night’s 2-1 loss to the Buffalo Sabres, though didn’t specify who.

In 57 games for Grand Rapids this season, Street has scored 23 goals to go with 28 assists and a plus-1 rating. He has 29 career NHL games under his belt with the Colorado Avalanche and Calgary Flames.

He was previously signed as an unrestricted free-agent by the Red Wings on July 1, 2016.
