The Detroit Red Wings have announced that they’ve loaned yet another player overseas.
Forward Michael Rasmussen has been loaned to the Graz 99ers of the ICE Hockey League, Austria’s top professional hockey league.
Rasmussen becomes the 8th player the Red Wings have loaned overseas during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Originally drafted in 2017 by the Red Wings with the 9th overall draft selection, Rasmussen has spent time with both the Red Wings and Grand Rapids Griffins during his young professional career.
Last year with Grand Rapids, he scored seven goals with 15 assists in 35 games played.
