Report: Detroit Lions will be buyers at deadline, with specific focus

The Detroit Lions hope to get back to .500 when they take on the New York Giants on Sunday at Ford Field.

Earlier in the week, the Lions shocked everyone by trading their starting safety, Quandre Diggs, to the Seattle Seahawks for a fifth-round draft pick.

That move made some speculate that Lions GM was throwing in the towel on the season.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, that is not the case as he is reporting the Lions are actually looking to be buyers before Tuesday’s trade deadline, and they will have a specifc focus on trading for a running back.
