Team Canada has officially won gold, defeating Team Finland 3-2 in overtime at the 2021 IIHF Men’s World Championships and becoming the first team to ever earn the honor despite losing their first three games of the tournament.
Nick Paul tallied the overtime winner for Canada, who also got goals from Maxime Comtois and Adam Henrique.

For Canada, it’s their 27th gold medal win at the IIHF.
