The Michigan State Spartans had their way with their in-state rivals from Ann Arbor earlier today, winning handily by an 87-69 final score.

And afterwards, he decided to let first-year Michigan head coach Juwan Howard know what’s up.
“Juwan has done a nice job, he’ll do a nice job. But we’re not going anywhere,” Izzo said.
Of course, Izzo is one of the top coaches in college basketball history while Howard is just getting his feet wet in the coaching game, so the Spartans bench boss isn’t exactly getting a little too big for his britches.
Izzo then went on to praise the performance of senior Cassius Winston, who put up a game-high 32 points in Michigan State’s win.
“Cassius was unbelievable,” MSU head coach Tom Izzo said. “… We still spend a lot of time with him trying to make sure these big games, or big moments, when your families are all here, those are times that he struggles. You go one of two ways. Thank God he went the one way.”
Howard and the Wolverines will have a chance to extract some revenge on Izzo and the Spartans when the two rivals get together in Ann Arbor in February at Crisler Arena.
