A pair of future Michigan Wolverines were honored this week by winning their home stateโs player of the year awards.
A.J. Henning is currently listed as the No. 90 overall prospect in the 2020 class, the No. 17 wide receiver in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Illinois. He was highly recruited by some of the nationโs top schools, but committed to a future in Ann Arbor this summer. On Friday, he was named the 2019 Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year.

The 5-10, 175-pound Running Back from Frankfort, IL is expected to fit in well with Michigan offensive coordinator Josh Gattisโ โSpeed in Spaceโ style of offense.
The second future Wolverine to win the honor is Kalel Mullings of Massachusetts.
The 6-foot-1, 220 lb. linebacker helped Boston (Mass.) Milton Academy to to a 8-1 record.

And third, Marylandโs Blake Corum took home the honor in his home state of Maryland.

The 5-foot-9, 200-pound senior rushed for 1,438 yards and 22 touchdowns on 172 carries this past season, helping his team to an 11-1 record. He was also selected to play in the 2020 Under Armour All-America Game. He committed to Michigan this past July.
