University of Toledo football player Jahneil Douglas fatally shot

Some unfortunate news to pass along in the world of collegiate sports.

Jahneil Douglas, a junior defensive lineman at the University of Toledo, was fatally shot late Tuesday night after a fight at a city pizza restaurant and taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities didn't have any immediate comment as to led to the fight, or if Douglas was involved.

He had recorded two tackles in 12 games the past two seasons.
