On Sunday, the Detroit Lions, after blowing a 24-3 lead, managed to walk away with a 30-27 win over the Washington Football Team.
But the fear was that the Lions may have lost Matthew Stafford in the process after he took a big hit and injured the thumb on this throwing hand.
Stafford was able to remain in the game and eventually lead the Lions on a game-winning drive with just 16 seconds on the clock.
Following the game, Stafford had an X-ray done and according to a report from Ian Rapoport, the results came back negative and Stafford not expected to miss a game. Rapoport added that Stafford will have further tests performed today.
Stafford will have some more tests today to make sure there is no structural damage. But the early vibe is optimistic. https://t.co/jkNqEDYS5o
