Heading into the 2022 season, the belief of many was that Mel Tucker would keep the momentum going with the Michigan State football program. After all, they were coming off an 11-win 2021 campaign, and they had a lot of their key players returning. As we know, Tucker was not able to get the job done, and the Spartans finished with an embarrassing 5-7 record, which means they will not be playing in a bowl game. Now, according to reports, two Michigan State players have entered the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Which 2 Michigan State football players entered the portal?
According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, two Michigan State players have decided to take their talents elsewhere, and enter the NCAA Transfer portal. Those players are Jalen Hunt and Dashaun Mallory, who reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal Monday.
Both Hunt and Mallory started for the Spartans after suspensions were handed down for the infamous tunnel incident at the Big House on Oct. 29.
This report comes after fellow defensive lineman Michael Fletcher also announced that he is leaving Michigan State to enter the portal
