3 NFL teams who could hire Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh

After a second-straight embarrassing loss, the Michigan Wolverines now sit at 1-2 and there is a very good chance that they finish the 2020 season with a losing record.

There has certainly been plenty of blame to go around but as you can imagine, the biggest share of that blame has been directed at Wolverines’ head coach, Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh is in his sixth year as head coach of the Wolverines and the program seems to be going backward. Not only is Harbaugh 1-6 at home against his biggest rivals (Michigan State and Ohio State), but he continues to lose bowl games like they are going out of style.

The big question is, has Harbaugh worn out his welcome at Michigan? Is it time for the Wolverines to cut their losses and move in a new direction?

Now, let me be clear about something. I absolutely believe it is time for Michigan to cut ties with Harbaugh but unless the feeling is mutual, I 100% believe he will be coaching the team in 2021 and probably beyond.

That being said, if Harbaugh and the Wolverines do decide to go their separate ways, you can bet there will be some NFL teams lining up for his services.

In my opinion, there are 3 NFL teams that could come calling and that Harbaugh would be willing to listen to.

Those teams are the Chicago Bears, Los Angeles Chargers, and Dallas Cowboys.

The Bears selected Harbaugh in the 1st round of the 1987 NFL Draft and he spent seven seasons there before moving on to the Colts. If the Bears decide to fire Matt Nagy (very possible) after the 2020 season, do not be surprised if there are reports that come out about Harbaugh being near the top of their list.

Harbaugh also has some history with the Chargers as he played his final two seasons in the NFL with that franchise. The draw for Harbaugh to go to the Chargers would be quarterback Justin Herbert, who has looked very good in his rookie season.

As far as the Cowboys go, they are a possibility for one reason and that is money. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is desperate to win and you can bank on it that he will be willing to throw a ton of cash at whichever candidate he believes will be the best man for the job. The question is, will that man be Jim Harbaugh?

Nation, IF Harbaugh and Michigan split, where do you think he will coach in 2021?
