For just about every college football head coach, comes a point where it's time to move on.
That is where we are currently at with University of Michigan head coach, Jim Harbaugh following the Wolverines recent 35-14 loss at the hands of the Wisconsin Badgers.

There is no shame in losing to Wisconsin as they are a VERY GOOD team, but the fact the Wolverines were unprepared, outplayed and out-coached from the opening kickoff is EXTREMELY concerning and it is the fault of Harbaugh.
Now, whenever somebody cries for Harbaugh to be fired, another person responds with, “who would do a better job?”
Well, here is a list of 5 candidates who I believe would do a better job than Harbaugh has done so far at Michigan.
Matt Campbell

Matt Campbell, who is 39 years old, is currently the head coach at Iowa State.
Since being hired by the Cyclones prior to the 2016 season, Campbell has led his team to a 21-20 overall record and has been named Big 12 Coach of the Year twice (2017 and 2018).
Prior to coming to ISU, Campbell was the head coach at Toledo where he led the Rockets to a 35-15 overall record from 2011-2015, including winning two of three bowl games before leaving for Iowa State.
Campbell may be in a Power 5 conference but his coaching ability will land him a job somewhere big, it is just a matter of time.
Bob Stoops

So I really even need to sell this one?
Stoops, who is 59-year-old, was out of coaching for a bit but he is now back as head coach (and GM) of the Dallas Renegades of the XFL.
During his time at Oklahoma (1999-2016), Stoops racked up a 190-48 record, which included 11 top 10 finishes in the AP Top 25 poll, 10 Big 12 Titles, and a National Championship in 2000.
You can bet Stoops will not be in the XFL for long and Michigan could make him an offer he cannot refuse.
Kyle Whittingham

Kyle Whittingham, who is also 59-years-old, replaced Urban Meyer as the head coach at Utah in 2005. In 16 seasons with the Utes, he has an impressive 123-62 record which includes going 11-2 in bowl games.
Whittingham is currently signed with Utah through the 2020 season but if Michigan comes calling, he would certainly have to consider the opportunity.
Les Miles

This one is interesting, especially if you believe the rumors about why Les Miles was never hired by Michigan over a decade ago, but we will not get into that.
Miles, who is 65, has made it absolutely clear that he wants to be the head coach at Michigan but according to him, he has never been offered the job.
While at LSU, Miles racked up an impressive 114-34 record including a 7-4 record in bowl games. In 2007, he led LSU to a National Championship after going 12-2.
Whether or not Michigan would ever offer the job to Miles is one thing, but he is a legit candidate.
Urban Meyer

I know I am going to get killed for this one but here goes nothing.
Whether or not you hate Urban Meyer as I do, you cannot argue with the fact he is one of the most accomplished college coaches of all time.
In 17 seasons as a head coach, Meyer is 187-32!!!
But he does not just win in the regular season as he is 12-3 in bowl games.
Meyer may be hated by just about every person in Michigan but the Wolverines would be better with him at the helm than they are with Harbaugh.
