If you are waiting patiently (as we are) to see who the Detroit Lions decide to hire as their next general manager, we have some big news for you.
According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Lions intend to host second interviews for what we assume are the five finalists for their GM vacancy.
Those who are expected to get a second interview are Brad Holmes (LAR), Ed Dodds (Indy), Terry Fontenot (NO), Jeff Ireland (NO), and George Paton (MIN).
Though five candidates are listed above, don’t be surprised if the Lions also bring back Thomas Dimitroff and Rick Smith for another look.
Nation, which of these candidates do you prefer?
One thing that complicates all this, by the way, is that Fontenot and Ireland can't physically come in until the Saints are out of the playoffs. And it's possible the Broncos take Paton off the board before the Lions get back to him.
