“Blessed to say I am verbally Committed to The University of Michigan,” Mazzccua wrote on Twitter.

Micah Mazzccua is listed at 6-foot-5 and 289-pounds. He does not currently have a composite ranking. As of Monday, 247Sports ranked Muzzccua No. 800 nationally and as the 86th-best offensive lineman in the class of 2020. That will probably change in just a few days when they update their rankings, but that’s where he’s at right now. 247Sports is the only service to have ranked him so far. Mazzccua currently has scholarship offers from four schools (Michigan, Maryland, Syracuse, and Temple).

Mazzccua plays his prep ball at powerhouse St. Frances Academy in Baltimore and is coached by Biff Poggi, a former Michigan staffer under Jim Harbaugh and the father of former Wolverines’ fullback Henry Poggi. Micah Muzzccua joins fellow St. Frances Academy teammate Osman Savage, a 4-star outside linebacker. The Wolverines are hopeful that their teammate Blake Corum, a 4-star running back, will also decide to join the Michigan football program.

Michigan has seven verbal commitments in its 2020 class, which ranks No. 11 in the nation and No. 2 in the Big Ten according to 247Sports (their rankings were last updated on 02/26/19 at 12:10 PM CST).
