For three quarters, the Detroit Lions defense was nearly flawless.
In fact, following a Matthew Stafford to T.J. Hockenson touchdown early in the fourth quarter, the Lions led 24-6 and a win seemed inevitable.
Unfortunately, Cardinals rookie QB Kyler Murray failed to get the memo and proceeded to lead his team all the way back 24-24 and an eventual tie.
Following the game, Murray said he believed the Lions defense got tired down the stretch, which helped the Cardinals offense to get a rhythm going.
Asked if the Lions defense changed late in the game, Cardinals QB Kyler Murray said, "I think they were just tired. …So the tempo can get to them and I think that's what helped us out later in the game as we started actually going."
