Most Detroit Tigers fans would agree that top pitching prospect Casey Mize should have been up with the team as soon as humanly possible in 2020 but GM Al Avila claimed the 23-year-old was not quite ready for Major League Baseball.
Well, apparently Mize is ready now and on Wednesday night, he will make his Major League debut against the Chicago White Sox.
On Tuesday, Mize spoke to reporters and he was asked about the #FreeCaseyMize movement.
“I'm happy they got what they wanted, finally. I hope I can perform pretty well and make them even more happy. It was really cool to see all the fans backing me. I definitely noticed. Keep it coming.”

Mize clearly believes he is ready for the big show. Now, it's almost time for him to prove it.
