The Detroit Lions rolled into Soldier Field for their first game of the post-Matt Patricia era against their division rivals this afternoon at an empty Soldier Field.
The Lions completed an exciting 34-30 comeback win over the Chicago Bears, winning for the first time since 2014 after having been trailing by 10+ points.
A strip-sack from Romeo Okwara on Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky turned the game on its head, setting up the game-winning touchdown run from RB Adrian Peterson late in the 4th quarter:

The Lions defense then came up with a critical stop with seconds remaining to preserve the win, the first of the Darrell Bevell era. For Chicago, it was their sixth straight setback.
Things didn’t start out so great for Detroit, however.
The Bears moved down the field easily against the Lions in the games’ first half, scoring on their first three possessions. Detroit wasn’t without positives, however. A 49-yard touchdown pass from Matthew Stafford to rookie Quintez Cephus made things look better on the scoreboard. Peterson also scored in the 1st quarter, converting a 3-yard run for the 1st of his two touchdowns on the afternoon.
Chicago led 23-13 at the end of the 1st half.
