The Michigan State picked up its first quarterback prospect for the Class of 2018 next season. Dearborn Divine Child junior quarterback Theo Day announces that he is committed to MSU.

The 3-star pro-style quarterback Day is regarded as a top-25 quarterback in the country for the Class of 2018. He’s also listed as a top-15 talent in the state of Michigan and the No. 2 QB in the Mitten behind only Jason Whittaker (Rockford, MI). Day stands 6-foot-5 and 197 pounds.

His pledge to MSU gives the Spartans now four commits for the Class of 2018. The other three are 4-star talents, according to 247Sports – wide receiver Joseph Scates (Dayton, OH), athlete Xavier Henderson (Pickerington, OH) and Henderson’s teammate, tight end Trenton Gillison (Pickerington, OH).

Day also becomes the second Divine Child Falcon in the last week to announce his college decision. Earlier in the week, it was D.C. 4-star defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson pledging to the University of Michigan for the 2018 season. The two helped lead the Falcons all the way to the state semifinals before losing to eventual Division 3 champion St. Mary’s Prep. Day on the year threw for more than 1,700 yards along with 22 touchdown passes.
