Michigan State Spartans defensive tackle Naquan Jones has wrapped up his 4th season with the program and is now taking the next step in his professional career.
Jones announced his intentions to enter the 2021 NFL Draft, ending his tenure in East Lansing.
“After much consideration, I have made the decision to forgo my last year of eligibility and enter the 2021 NFL draft,” Jones wrote in part of a statement posted on Twitter. “Playing professional football has always been my ultimate goal and passion and Michigan State University has put me in the best position to make that possible.”

The 6’4, 265 lb. DT hails from Evanston, IL has 54 tackles, including 7.5 for losses (37 yards) and 3.0 sacks (20 yards), in 39 career games.
The NCAA had granted all fall sports athletes an additional year of eligibility thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic.
