Unfortunately, things have not gone well for the Detroit Lions in 2019.
Not only are the Lions sitting at 3-8-1 after starting the season 2-0-1, but they were officially eliminated from the NFL Playoffs before we hit December.
Because of that, most of us have begun to look towards the offseason and what we have to look forward to for the Lions.

One thing that Lions fans always seem to look forward to is the NFL Draft.
As it stands, the Lions hold the No. 6 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft but that is a pick that can improve depending on what happens in the final four weeks of the season.
Though a plethora of scenarios and outcomes could end up playing out, I thought it would be fun to see where the Lions would end up if the team with the highest winning percentage won every game for the remainder of the season. So, thanks to the 2019 ESPN Playoff Machine, that is exactly what I did.
As you can see below, if the teams with a higher winning percentage win out, the Lions would finish 3-12-1, which would tie them with the Arizona Cardinals for the fourth-worst record in the NFL. That being said, the Lions would get the tiebreaker (for being worse) because of the overall winning percentage of their opponents compared to that of the Cardinals.
This means the Lions would ‘earn’ the No. 4 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft given this scenario.
That being said, there is a lot of football remaining and things could get crazy!
