OT Halapoulivaati Vaitai will make his debut for the Detroit Lions on Sunday but there is one problem (or hopefully not a problem), he will not be playing tackle.
That’s right folks, despite playing right tackle exclusively in training camp, it looks like the Lions have decided Vaitai will be playing right guard while Tyrell Crosby will get the nod at right tackle.
To be fair, Dave Birkett is reporting that this is what the Lions have been rolling with during pregame warmups, and it seems likely that is how they will start the game.
All of that being said, these are the Lions 5 best offensive lineman, so I like it!
Time will tell!
