During Sunday’s last-second win over the Washington Football Team, Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford took a huge hit, causing his helmet to fly off his head.

Luckily, Stafford did not suffer a head or neck injury but he did not escape the play unscathed as he did hurt the thumb on this throwing hand.
Following the game, Stafford had an X-Ray on his thumb/hand and it came back negative, which is obviously great news.
Stafford told Dan Miller of Fox 2 that he likes his chances of playing on Sunday vs. the Panthers.
“I did get some X-rays after the game. They were negative, no fractures or breaks in there,” Stafford said in his weekly Monday appearance on Fox 2. “A couple, I’m sure, tests throughout the week, but I’m going to do everything I can to be out there. You know I’m going to do what I can, so I like my chances.”
