Detroit Lions snap scoreless streak with late third quarter score

It has not been the smoothest start to the season for the Detroit Lions. After scratching and clawing their way back into their opener against the San Fransisco 49ers, they were trounced on Monday Night Football by the Green Bay Packers — a game where they didn’t sniff the endzone in the second half. Their scoreless streak reached four full quarters on Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens when they failed to score in the first half of their game Sunday.

However, late in the third quarter, the Lions finally put a drive together, relying heavily on their workhorse, D’Andre Swift. He plunged into the end zone from a couple of yards out to get the Lions on the board and within one score of the Ravens.

It hasn’t been pretty, but being within one score, anything can happen!
