2018 is a season the Detroit Lions and their fans would rather forget. After finishing 6-10 and last in the NFC North, all we had to look forward to was the No. 8 pick in the NFL Draft.
The hope is that head coach Matt Patricia turns things around in 2019 and leads the Lions to a worst to first finish.
But according to ESPN’s Seth Walder, the Lions will begin the 2019 campaign 0-10, resulting in Patricia being fired.
From ESPN:
Week 11
Lions fire Matt Patricia: Enough is enough for Martha Ford. Eager to avoid another winless season, she removes Patricia from his role as head coach after an 0-10 start and an overall 6-20 record for his tenure. Defensive coordinator Paul Pasqualoni takes over as the interim head coach.
In my opinion, this prediction is absolute trash. Patricia has a better chance of being named Coach of the Year than being fired during the season.
