If I told you that a player had a triple and a home run going into the ninth inning, what do you think the odds would be for that player hitting for the cycle?
Well, that is exactly what the Detroit Tigers No. 12 ranked prospect Gage Workman did on Sunday during the Low-A Lakeland Flying Tigers 20-7 win over the Bradenton Marauders.
Workman hit a triple in the third inning and a home run in the sixth inning before picking up a single and double in the ninth inning to complete his rare feat of hitting for the cycle.
Congrats, Gage!
