Not only did the Detroit Lions find a way to lose to the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving Day, but they may have lost their top tight end in the process.
With less than a minute to go in Thursday's game, Lions rookie tight end T.J. Hockenson managed to get his ankle caught up underneath a Bears defender after making a catch.
As you can see in the photo below, it was not a pretty sight.
Here's a look at the play Lions T.J. Hockenson was injured on. He was reportedly (per @davebirkett) leaving Ford Field on crutches.

Following the game, Hockenson was seen initially leaving Ford Field on crutches before switching to a boot and scooter.
Update: Hockenson traded in the crutches he initially had for a walking boot and a scooter.

Though it was already pretty clear Hockenson suffered an injury, Doctor David Chao (@ProFootballDoc) weighed in saying Hock suffered a high ankle sprain.

If Chao is correct, do not be surprised if Hockenson is placed on Reserve/Injured, which would end his rookie season.
