It wasn't pretty Sunday for the Detroit Lions, let's just be honest. Yes, they were within striking distance against a decent team. Yes, they almost made another fourth-quarter comeback. But overall, it wasn't a pretty game. None more so than the performance by tight end Eric Ebron.
Coming off of a career-high 61 receptions in 2016, Ebron has fallen “down in the dumps” with his performances this season. Ebron is coming off of a game where two very crucial passes fell through his hands, in a game the Lions lost by a field goal. Oh, and by the way, one of those drops was in the end zone on the Lions first drive, a drive they were forced to settle for a field goal. At the end of the day, it cost the Lions.
Here's what Ebron said in light of his seemingly weekly mishaps,
“Just got to get my act together as far as playing…From the way I practice to the way I play are two different things. I’ve been really successful as far as practicing, I just need to get it as far as the game wise and I don’t – I don’t know what the mental blockage is, but I’ll just get it together.”

Ebron has to be better. There are no two ways around that. If he plans to be an integral part of a successful Lions team then it's a no-brainer that he gets it together on the field. It doesn't get more obvious than that.
